Job Description

Support chemistry teaching labs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare chemicals and equipment for chemistry labs

  • Order chemicals and equipment for teaching labs

  • Support instructors and TAs during lab class time

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for chemistry teaching labs

General Qualifications

  • Completion of two semesters of general chemistry with a grade of a B or better

Learning Outcomes

  • Participates effectively within the chemistry lab team

  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Understand and execute safe operation of a chemistry lab facility

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse team of stakeholders within the chemistry lab environment

  • Ability to think independently and solve problems as they arise
