Aerotek Project Engineer in Fredericktown, Ohio

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all aspects of the engineering projects are completed according to customer specifications and timelines as well as to their mission and philosophy by developing detail drawings to product equipment using and following their engineering procedures and standards. It includes overseeing projects, in part or entirety, from estimate through production to installation support.


  • Directs and Coordinates and projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals, directing the integration of technical activities and ensuring that the customer quality standards are achieved.

  • Confers with Account Managers and customer as well as management with product designs and specifications throughout the entire process. Responsible for the scope of work, budgets, schedules, problem resolutions, change orders, obtaining approvals, etc. Provides support to applications, purchasing, production and installation.

  • Manage, support, and delegate as necessary to meet project demands

  • Influence, motivate, develop, and direct people as they work as well as set goals and strategies

  • Reviews engineering procedures and standards and makes recommendations for revisions as needed to maintain product quality

  • Prepares system layouts or equipment approval drawings to be sent to the customer and general arrangements/sales drawings for estimating purposes using AutoCAD or equivalent software

  • Prepares mechanical drawings, material list, written requisitions for all components, and release job packages as scheduled and/or needed

  • Creates and maintains Smartsheet project schedule

  • Creates and maintains Project Phase Reviews

  • Creates and executes Action items following project phase reviews

  • Prepares equipment list to be used during shipping

  • Ensures service manuals are provided in a timely manner to customer

  • Computes mathematical formulas, analyzes technology, and resource needs to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery

  • Inspects equipment throughout production and installation to ensure quality and accuracy of design

  • Travels to customer site to gather information pertaining to the project

  • Provides supervision of installations as needed when applicable
