Senior Network Engineer

Projected Description/Purpose of Role: Softworld is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support our government customers Video Surveillance project.

Job Description:

  • Identify, analyze, define, coordinate user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Assist Mission Units in expressing their needs in terms that can be used to generate valid requirements regarding Radio Frequency (RF) and Video Surveillance technologies.

  • Will help the unit automate, deploy and link disparate data collection systems.

  • Work with stakeholders as well as other technical and analytical counterparts to design, implement and manage network systems located in many remote locations.

  • Candidate must show the ability to learn proprietary technologies and or scripting languages quickly.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree (AS) and a minimum of 12 years hands on experience in network engineering technologies. Bachelor’ s degree (BS) and a minimum of 8 years hands on experience in network engineering technologies preferred.

  • The candidate must understand networking technologies and the implementation of networks to include being skilled in the following areas (main thing to focus on here is the Cisco tools and experience):

  • Cisco IOS

  • IOS XE

  • NX OS

  • Phase 3 DMVPN

  • EIGRP

  • BGP

  • XRF-Lite

  • QOS

  • IPSEC

  • Cisco ASA

  • Cisco Prime
