Material Handler

1st shift (5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Monday - Friday)

2nd shift (1:30 PM - 10:00 PM Monday - Friday)

$21-$25/hr

Candidate will work in a steel distribution center where they ship and cut metal coils for their customers. Candidate will learn the warehouse operations which is can include but not limited to: cutting, overhead crane, skid building, packaging and machine operating/helper.

Candidates will operate an overhead crane, sit down industrial forklift, utilize saws, and cutting mechanisms for coils. They will learn every aspect of receiving and shipping steel products.

Candidates will read work orders, perform all housekeeping duties, and must be flexible for all duties as assigned and will start the day with production goals in mind for how many pieces they need to process, cut, package, quality inspect and bundle before they are shipped.

Candidates must have warehouse experience in a heavy industrial environment. Candidates must have tape measure experience as they will inspect all the product and need a high attention to detail for various sizes of metal products. Will also help in building skids at times.

Candidate must have forklift experience and overhead crane experience is a plus!
