Manages an organization responsible for preparing various international, federal, and state tax schedules for quarterly and yearly corporate and subsidiary filings and provisions. Maintains proficiency in current international, federal, and state tax issues and ensures the timely training of personnel on related compliance topics. Oversees company responses to external tax audits. Interacts with external stakeholders, including the United States Government, and internal business personnel to advise on the company’s application of tax regulations while investigating and resolving compliance questions. Collaborates with program finance and business development teams on tax-related opportunities. Leads greenfield projects to institute business process changes that address new tax opportunities and challenges resulting from tax reform (e.g., research and development tax credits, foreign-derived intangible income calculations) and new markets (e.g., international indirect taxes, such as value-added tax or goods and services tax). Directs the preparation of, and presents, reports of findings and recommendations to management and business personnel.
Responsible for coordinating team members’ recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Promotes a culture of cross-business partnering and problem-solving while maintaining necessary focus on tax compliance and adherence to principles of accounting. Leads team in a manner that is consistent with the organization’s projects and goals.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Active Certified Public Accountant license (or comparable certification).
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools and SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or related finance discipline.
• Excellent time-management skills and is adept at leveraging team to prioritize tasks across multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with using data analytics and other digital finance transformation tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, KNIME) to improve the efficiency of tax-related processes.
• Experience working in the aerospace industry or with defense contractors is a plus.
