Description: The selected candidate will support the Depot Test Systems and Tooling IPT (DTS&T) as a Development SME (D-SME). The D-SME will be accountable to the DTS&T development and Sustainment Manager, and will be responsible for development and delivery of test systems supporting Depot repairs. The D-SME will provide support, coordination, and technical expertise for development, delivery, and sustainment of test system hardware and software. Working with the JPO customer, test system suppliers, and other IPT personnel, the D-SME will ensure test system capability meets requirements and provides the correct and sufficient capability, at the right time, to support Program needs. Specific tasks include developing and maintaining subsystem configuration and performance baselines, monitoring, and reporting on test systems health and status, and supporting system development, acquisition, and sustainment. Additionally, the D-SME will support development and update of the DTS&T roadmap and will support capacity analysis and trade studies, configuration management and change control, and management of obsolescence and redesign. The D-SME will interface with the customer, suppliers, Military Service Depots, Design and Sustainment IPTs, Product Lifecycle Managers, Sustainment Lifecycle Managers, SCM, and Quality Assurance.
- Accredited STEM Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of professional experience
- System installation/test experience
- Experience with complex systems integration; including troubleshooting hardware and software anomalies
- Leadership skills; including coordinating tasking between multiple groups and working with cross-functional teams
- Complex project management experience, system installation planning and coordination
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)
- Good understanding of Systems Engineering Fundamentals
- HW IO, SW Test, SWE Core
- Experience supporting a virtual team
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time
- Good communication skills
