The Engineering Operations Sr. Staff - Software will report directly to the Aeronautics Director of Combat Core Systems and will act as operations POC supporting the entire Combat Core Systems team. Position will be responsible for ensuring integration with Combat Systems and Engineering & Technology in the following areas:
• Digital Transformation POC for coordination and
reporting on DevSecOps, software factory and
CI/CD for Combat Core Systems as well as integration
of supplier pipelines.
• Coordination and implementation of
standardized software tools in the DevSecOps
environment aligning with LM Aero standards.
• Workforce management and planning to include
employee development programs and LM
Fellows.
• Drive favorable overhead charging through
proactive monitoring and remediation.
• Integration of manpower forecasting/planning
provided by programs utilizing VEMO tool and
applicable Tableau Dashboards.
• Act as POC for training, hiring, staffing and
budgeting actions in connection with E&T
operations.
• Drive innovation and manage integrated budget
performance on behalf of Combat Core Systems for
Strategic Projects, Facilities Capital, Training and
IT coordination using EVMS practices as
appropriate.
The successful Combat Core Systems Operations
Senior Staff is one that will demonstrate and
expand the organization’s culture of
accountability, provide coaching and pursue
continuous learning, and communicate with the
intent to build and sustain high levels of team performance, ultimately delivering the desired
results.
The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret clearance will be processed prior to start.
A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Prior experience leading some facet of
engineering or business operations and transformation.
• Experience working in Agile software
development
• Experience managing budget, schedule, and
technical issues.
• Experience developing digital transformation software processes and organizations.
Desired Skills:
• Experience working DevSecOps environment
• Demonstrated ability to build effective
relationships across organizational levels and
entities.
• Strong executive and team level communication
skills - both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills
and behaviors.
• Strong background in software development
Resource (manpower, capital, IT, etc.) planning
and forecasting experience.
• Avionics Core systems (i.e. Mission Computers, Displayes, etc.) hardware development experience
• Supplier management experience
• EVMS control account management training and
experience.
• Experience with multiple different large avionic systems.
