The Calibration Technician III will support the manufacturing plant by performing routine and non-routine calibration activities on production and facility instrumentation. The calibration technician works within a team of technicians and mechanics performing instrumentation repairs, calibration and troubleshooting on packaging, processing and facility equipment. You will use a variety of sophisticated testing and measuring equipment in completing assigned tasks. For this job you will be using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, record and close work orders, record (spare) part usage, and record required maintenance documentation.

This position is in Fort Washington, PA Monday - Friday with the working hours of 6 AM – 2:30 PM with occasional overtime as needed by the business.

As the Calibration Technician III, you will: • Perform equipment calibration and instrumentation set-up, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair on equipment serving the manufacturing, utilities and facility equipment. • Develop extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment operation to help to identify calibration needs. • Ensure the calibration status of all measuring and critical manufacturing equipment. • Follow environmental health and safety procedures during startup, shutdown, trouble shooting, and operation of equipment. • Read, interpret & maintain equipment diagrams in support of equipment repair & design. • Establish calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment. • Accountable to communicate and coordinate with customers regarding schedule and impact of work being performed. • Ensure calibration activities are performed in a professional and efficient manner to minimize equipment and/or line down time. • Disassemble equipment to facilitate cleaning and ensure clean equipment/workspace at task completion. • Utilize automated and manual control systems to operate major equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/secondary education or equivalent AND/OR associates degree with minimum 6 years of regulated & automated manufacturing experience; or bachelor’s degree is required. • Certification in Instrumentation or Electro-mechanical from a Technical School or equivalent relevant industry experience is required. • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in industrial maintenance instrumentation and calibration is required. • Prior experience working in a Pharmaceutical/GMP manufacturing environment is preferred. • Must have proficiency in the use of Windows MS Office. • Experience in SAP-PM or equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred. • Working knowledge of Production Automation Systems (i.e. Wonderware, MES, SAP) is preferred. • Candidates must be able to meet the physical demand of that this position requires: continuous lifting and/or moving from 5 to 25lbs. weight material, and frequent lifting or moving average (25-50 lbs.) weight material. • Availability to work Monday - Friday with the working hours of 6 AM – 2:30 PM is required. • Requires ability to work in Fort Washington, PA.
