Description

We are currently looking to hire 4 Field Deployment Technicians within our Support team. This position is critical for launching new offices. This person will work with various tech and business teams, as well as our customers to ensure the accurate and timely setup and delivery of tech hardware for our onsite deployment teams. This includes configuration and/or imaging, testing/troubleshooting, and documentation of new tech hardware to be used at our locations. In addition, they will be responsible for inventory, asset management, shipping/receiving, and additional activities related to our remote office deployments.

When not traveling, this will be an onsite position in our Fort Mill, SC office. Typically deployments are 3-5 days on the road, and are normally during regular weekdays. That said, sometimes we have to straddle a weekend where we show up Wednesday, work until Friday, then return Monday - occasionally there's work on the actual weekends but that's rare. As far as the travel itself, sometimes we need people in the air on Sunday so they can be there first thing Monday. We typically don't do back to back weeks, or if we do, we may do a full week, followed by a smaller 1-3 day trip to try to allow for some home time. Our intention is never to travel someone back to back to back but it does happen.

Responsibilities:

• Imaging of computer equipment (laptops) using SCCM, deployment scripts and checklists

• User profile setup for Windows devices, including configuration of various productivity and 3rd party software and applications

• Configuration of additional hardware including VOIP phones, network appliances (routers/switches), copiers/printers, etc.

• Troubleshoot hardware issues and trigger warranty processes with various manufacturers as needed

• Provide a high level of customer service to internal employees and customers on a daily basis

• Shipping/receiving equipment from our variety of vendors and sending to customers

• Weekly inventory process including organization and labeling for easy location as well as working with internal teams to obtain additional stock

• Track and catalog equipment sent to customers (documenting serial numbers and assigning in ITAM databases)

• Work with Asset Management team and vendors for end-of-life equipment for proper documentation and recycling of assets

• Update and maintain documentation relative to this position in approved tools and databases

• Provide a high level of customer service to employees

• Drive continuous improvement by thinking out of the box for potential solutions or ideas around streamlining back-office operations and tasks.

What are we looking for?

We want a hard working detail-oriented person capable of working independently and as part of a team that is passionate about technology and loves process and structure.
