The Contracts and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO) of GDIT is seeking a Contracts Administrator Advisor to join our Defense team. This position will focus on cradle to grave administration Government contracts, including developing proposals, program contract activities, and customer engagement. The ideal individual will have knowledge and experience in administering government contracts, particularly DHS contracts and task orders; have an ability to apply strategic resolutions to address business and programmatic risks; as well as identifying and analyzing complex and strategic contract matters.
HOW A CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Conducts negotiation and administration of government contracts
Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews subsequent contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution
Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems
Reviews requests for proposals and participates in proposal color reviews
Reviews and approves solicited and unsolicited proposals for submission to customers
Reviews and negotiates various types of agreements
Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations
Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation
Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices
Participates in special projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience in Contracts Administration and/or Subcontracts Administration. In lieu of degree 12+ years of related experience in Contracts Administration and/or Subcontracts Administration required.
Required Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as, advanced analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation abilities. Experienced with various contract types. Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DHS supplement.
Preferred Skills: US Federal Acquisition experience. NCMA Certification (CFCM/CPCM).
