In the role of European Product Manager (m/f) B2B Pharma you will:

  • Support the implementation of the European product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning and product promotion

  • In conjunction with the country product managers, develop market specific strategies and tactics to ensure that MDS B2B Pharma is well positioned for success e.g. providing clear direction on the relevant value and product positioning to drive category share gains

  • Interface with European and Global Marketing Teams to share information and update with market data, product developments and market specific strategic and tactical plans

  • Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g. market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative data (e.g. customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies and applications); recommending suitable actions to maximise opportunities and minimise potential threats to the non-acute MDS business

  • Is the industry expert for all technology related environment needs

  • Support the Field Sales team with product information, technical expertise and contribute to product training initiatives as appropriate

  • Analyses customer needs and business challenges and recommends the appropriate future product and service directions to the European Business

  • Analyses potential partnerships and opportunities with third party vendors

  • Develop pricing strategies in accordance with the BD overall company objectives and goals

  • Conduct regular customer visits to develop awareness of the key market requirements / customer unmet needs

  • Collaborate and work effectively with the European marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and the cross-functional teams, such as, clinical, regulatory, supply chain and manufacturing

  • Contribute effectively to BDX projects, as appropriate

You have a university degree in Marketing or similar, ideally an MBA degree. An additional qualification as a pharmacist is a plus. This role requires significant experience (min. 5-7 years) within the healthcare environment, including proven European marketing experience, as well as a profound understanding of the Pharma production environment. Good strategic marketing skills, including a demonstrated success in launching new products, experience in managing business development projects with focus on Industrial / B2B Pharma as well as a first sales experience is desired.

You’ll need excellent interpersonal skills, clear and precise communication skills and the strength to propose and apply actions. Furthermore, you have the ability to work autonomously within a matrix organization and are capable of generating, prioritising and completing work independently.

You’ll also bring:

  • fluency in English and another European language (ideally French or German); a third European language is preferred

  • PC Literate intermediate level in Excel/word/PowerPoint etc

  • Based on a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis, this role ensures relevant inputs from relevant sources within the business

  • good negotiation skills, decisive but open also to suggestion and dialogue, this role evolves effectively in a complex and consensual multicultural environment and within highly matrix organization
