General Electric Electronics Engineer (m/f) 100% in Eysins, Switzerland

Role Summary:GE Healthcare is looking for an Electronics Engineer who will be working in Malborough (US), or Eysins (Switzerland) and be part of a multidisciplinary and global R&D team developing manufacturing equipment aiming to process biological cells in the field of cellular therapies.

The Electronics Engineer will be involved in developing a new equipment product.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product specifications, design the electronic architecture, schematic and participate in the layout, develop test plans, perform the verification and validation activities with quality, compliance focus and execution rigor for cell therapy projects.

  • Design of analog-digital mixed signal circuits including sensors, actuators DAC/ADC and microcontrollers (Schematics & Layout CAD design required)

  • Design and integration of test set-ups by means of electronic instrumentation for characterization and calibration Taking part in product’s UL and CE certification

  • Active interaction with strategic suppliers involved in the development and work occasionally close to the end-users.

  • Work in a multidisciplinary Research and Development team, in close interaction with the Production, Supply Chain, Quality and product management departments.

  • Ensure seamless communication between different development teams and partners.

  • Encourage constructive dialogue in project teams

  • Participate in the project’s risks mitigation and resolve issues

  • Ensure development compliance with GMP requirements


  • University degree or equivalent in related scientific or engineering fields (electronics, mechatronics, or similar fields)

  • Significant experience in new product development and manufacturing equipment, ideally for the medical or life science industry involving cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated skills of global, cross-functional project teams and ability to drive project design plans to completion on-time

  • Demonstrated experience in launching products following formal product development cycle/ methodology and quality management system

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate (oral, written) across global, cross-cultural, cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Knowledge and practical experience of relevant regulations (ISO 9001, ISO13485, cGMP), specifically for the US and European market

  • Proven experience in EMC and electrical security tests

  • Fluent in English, a second language is a plus

  • Autonomous at work, creative, proposals and initiatives welcomed
