Aerotek Assembler / Machine Builder in EVANSVILLE, Indiana


Candidates will be responsible for assembling/building custom fuel handling systems. This will include reading blueprints and utilizing basic hand tools to fully assemble the equipment. Those systems can range from standard gas pumps like you would see at a gas station, to very large-scale pumping and storage systems used more within industrial settings. The assembler will be responsible for reading blueprints and assembling all components of the equipment. All work will be completed in the Evansville shop, where all employees are based. Assemblers will work directly with the production manager/shop lead/engineers/welders/electricians, to ensure that all mechanical components of the equipment are assembled within specifications.


  • Read blueprints to fully understand the mechanical layout of specific equipment

  • Utilize hand tools, fasteners & other components to fully assemble/build equipment to specifications

  • Troubleshoot unforeseen problems with assembly (wrong-sized parts, design flaws, etc.)

  • Communicate with electrical, welding & engineering teams to work through unforeseen problems with product assembly

  • Basic installation of wiring on certain equipment if they have previous experience with that. If so, they will also need to have electrical schematics knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 plus years of mechanical troubleshooting OR assembly experience

  • 1 plus years blueprint reading experience

  • 1 plus years experience with hand/power tools


  • Experience building custom machinery/equipment

  • Electrical wiring & schematic reading experience

  • Welding or machining experience
