The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering and managing employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other related programs. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, as the Benefits Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their benefits, helping them understand and navigate their options. The position also involves collaborating within the HR team and external vendors to ensure compliance with company policies, federal regulations, and to enhance employee satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities: Safety is our number one Core Value. Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite policies. Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system. Assist employees with enrollment in benefit programs, as well as address questions or concerns. Coordinate with third-party vendors and insurers to manage benefits offerings. Process benefits-related documentation, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA. Maintain accurate records and update employee information within HR systems. Communicate and educate employees on available benefits, plan options, and enrollment deadlines. Prepare reports and analyze benefit costs to identify trends and recommend program improvements. Support annual open enrollment processes, including scheduling, communications, and system updates. Assist in developing and implementing wellness and engagement initiatives. Assist with unemployment claims and documentation All other duties as assigned Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics.Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Experience: 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR-related role. Knowledge of employee benefits, federal and state regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency with HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaborative skills. Exceptional problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills. Practical understanding of general human resources policies and procedures. Working knowledge of employment/labor laws. Tactful, professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, internal and external parties. Strong at ention to detail with organizational, record-keeping, time management and follow-up skills. Must be a self-starter to act when issues, gaps or opportunities are identified. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities as necessary. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the role. Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player with excellent work ethics. Strategic planning skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily.
