The Sr. Project Manager II provides work is self-directed and not prescribed, focused on less structured, more complex issues. Within the PMO, the candidate is sought out as an expert, serves as a leader/mentor and is advanced in the following aspects of project management.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Business Vision Document, etc.)
Develop and maintain project and/or program plans
Identify and monitor project and/or program risks and issues, develop and execute associated mitigation, contingency and recovery plans when necessary
Develop/contribute to project budgets and forecasts, obtaining approvals from applicable stakeholders (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, capital planning, staffing impact analysis/assessment)
Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with input from applicable stakeholders (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)
Develop, document and implement project communication plans
Individual will interact with senior leaders and must drive the project independently

5+ Years of experience as a Project Manager
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills

2+ Years of previous experience in an cross matrixed enterprise environment
2+ years of Healthcare experience
Strong executive communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Familiarity with Optum and Optum’s products & services
Anticipates customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
May lead functional or segment teams or projects

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
