Provides patient care under supervision of provider when rooming patients in the clinic setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family. Maintains regulatory requirements, clinic policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with providers and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.
Current certification by JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. Additional languages preferred. Previous eye care assistance experience.
License or certification
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification must be obtained within 24 months of hire. Current BLS certification or must obtain within six months of hire.
Exemption status Non-exempt
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $16.82 per hour.

Schedule details Monday - Friday, 7:30 - to 5:30. Hours will vary and no set day off.
