Senior Benefits Specialist - Ireland, Dublin Hybrid: Office/Remote

The Global Performance & Reward team is a centre of excellence (COE) within the HR function with accountability for Global Benefits including Healthcare, Retirement, Insurances and Wellbeing.
Our international team has grown over the past number of years, and we are looking for a Global Senior Benefits Specialist to support the delivery of key benefit programs and drive our global strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Global Benefits, you are passionate about benefits as you will be building and delivering a global strategy. You will oversee benefits plans including healthcare, retirement, insurances, and allowances.

The role is based at ICON's global HQ in Dublin, Ireland (option of 40% home based.)
What you will be doing:
Developing health, retirement, life, disability insurance programs.
Participating in development of benefits strategy; compares plan design and rates with market benchmarks
Managing vendor relationships
Monitoring Benefit programs; emphasizing provider performance, efficient plan utilization
Developing metrics for reporting to the leadership team.
Managing retirement plans for ICON's global retirement portfolio primarily defined contribution plans
Contribute to our Wellbeing strategy
Benefit Communications: working with internal stakeholders, communicate benefit offerings to enhance colleague awareness and education.
Stay abreast of benefit trends and laws.
Global Benefits involvement in competitive analysis, strategy design, Risk, and Insurance Management
Merger & Acquisition (M&A) support
Build relationships and collaborates with all key stakeholders – internally and externally
Conduct research, prepares requests for proposals (RFPs), oversees the selection of providers, negotiates contracts and prepares plan summary documents for benefit offerings.
Manage / Support with special projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
5 years + comprehensive benefits experience gained in a reward/comp & bens/HR team
Experience working within a global organisation ideal, but not essential
Experience of managing or consulting on retirement plans
Experience in vendor management desirable
Results oriented , positive collaborator with the ability to drive new benefits programs
Possess influencing and strong interpersonal skills
The ability to create and implement innovative solutions and ideas
Analytical with strong data analysis/excel acumen with ability to provide practical recommendations to leadership and HR teams (with a focus on driving efficiencies and cost effectiveness)
Self-starter & self-sufficient with proven ability to consistently work on own initiative / independently, demonstrate accountability/ownership, deliver high quality output seamlessly within agreed deadlines and manage/balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
Highly resourceful and a consistent ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
A strong teammate that can work independently and as part of a Global team
