Role Purpose: In this exciting role you will be responsible for all inbound sales requests from customers, selling products to businesses by aligning PayPal’s customized payment solutions to their business needs. You will have the ability to fully articulates the PayPal value proposition to prospective merchants, and lead the end to end sales process from discovery and qualification through to negotiating contract terms and closing deals. You engage customers via telephone, email and web chat. Your success in this role will be measured by a set of KPIs including revenue and opportunity conversion productivity.

Fluency in French Required

Knowledgeable in current policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting his/her business and organization
Knowledge of the features and benefits of the broader product portfolio
Ability to understand emerging technologies and products and the company’s strategies to address them
Prospecting & Pipeline Management
Can ask insightful questions to uncover full scope of customer needs
Ability to research merchants/partners that reach out via inbound channels
Ability to identify opportunities requiring a pass to Indide or Field sales (as dictated by merchant segmentation and coverage model)
Ability to communicate the company’s differentiated value proposition vs. key competitors
Merchant Orientation & Relationship Management
Knowledge of your merchant/partner and able to apply a customer mindset to all sales activities
Ability to maintain good relationships through the sales cycle
Ability to develop a comprehensive strategy to obtain merchant intelligence, involving own contact networks.
Willingness to close customers for action appropriate to the sale
Communicating
Ability to sell to multiple and diverse stakeholders (technical, finance, business)
Has exceptional phone and communication skills
Ability to confidently present the value proposition to merchants/partners over the phone
Ability to handle objections, identifying and addressing true objections vs. blockers
Ability to manage all aspects of negotiation process
Negotiating & Influencing
Ability to develop internal networks with peers both within and outside own team, and by growing external contact networks
Experience of successfully engaging and collaborating with cross-functional counterparts
Requisite Responsibilities
