Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in DETROIT, Michigan

Description

Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. You will have an opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Detroit, Michigan area.

What you get to do every day

  • Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

  • Provide customer service to internal business partners

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

  • Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

  • Accomplish full-cycle A/P

  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Requirements - 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Earlier work involving Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Great Plains (GPAC) experience preferred

  • Quality experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX

  • Well-founded grasp of Dynamics Sl

  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV

  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Solomon

  • Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Dynamics C6

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics SL

  • Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics experience

  • Comprehension of Private Wealth Management

  • Skills in Wealth Management

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • General familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

  • Practical knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

  • Microsoft Great Plains eEnterprise experience highly desired

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
