U.S. Mint Plant Manager in Denver, Colorado

Summary This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Denver - Plant Manager. As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of operations and fulfillment of production for the Plant which is charged with making circulating coins for the United States monetary system. Responsibilities As a Plant Manager, you will: Direct and prioritize all production-related actions for Circulating coining performed within the Plant. Authorize the production of United States Mint Numismatic products and direct the preparation of related production plans and allocation of production resources. Ensures delivery deadlines are met on schedule and within cost, quality, and productivity parameters. Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A one year probationary period for initial SES appointment may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations. TCQ 1: Demonstrated experience assessing the current and future state of a moderately large to large manufacturing organization (in excess of 300 employees). Develop in a collaborative manner the manufacturing process' future state across a five-year path, lead the development of strategic and tactical goals including organizational structure to most effectively support future production needs, and execution of specific annual goals and performance metrics to make and track definitive progress. TCQ 2: Demonstrated expert-level experience implementing Lean six sigma concepts and strategies that result in improved efficiency, quality, and cost. TCQ 3: Demonstrated ability to provide expert business leadership in the governance of a multimillion dollar manufacturing organization, ensuring a project prioritization protocol is collaboratively developed and Business Line projects including thoroughly planned, cost-justified, approved, and executed projects tracked by senior leadership through projects' life-cycle to make the most informed decisions supporting the organization's strategic goals.
