This is a full time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

Maintains, designs, and builds business analytics tools covering logistics, production, and contracting for the Carbohydrate Solutions group. Working under the supervision of both the Director Planning, Optimization and Analytics and the Manager of Planning and Optimization, work will include plant production scheduling, linear programming optimization, plant cost analysis, and predictive analytics using R. Attention to accuracy and verification of results will be essential for successful user adoption of the tools. Experience working with well-normalized databases in SQL Server is also a plus (with the help of pre-existing Entity-Relationship diagrams). Will assist with enhancing usability, functionality, and visibility of current front-end applications that interface with the division’s analytical SQL database working with current team members. Current front-end systems used include Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, and ASP.Net/MVC based web pages. Depending on the successful candidate’s interests, other duties may include developing data management tools to normalize and clean data.

Weekly tasks include developing SSIS scripts in Microsoft Visual Studio to normalize data from disparate data sources.

The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail and be willing to work closely with current analytics team members and business users. The successful candidate will also have a willingness to learn and have the ability to develop within ambiguous project requirements. Some after hours and weekend work may be needed to ensure critical systems’ uptime.

Education and experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related technical field with 0 to 5 years of experience.

Experience with some of the following technologies: C#, MVC, SQL Server, SSIS, JavaScript, Tableau, PowerBI, R
