Job Summary:

This position is responsible for calculating, analyzing and validating commission data while also maintaining coordination with IT Technical and Business Operation support commission teams. Responsibilities within RTR include managing large and small projects with focus on productivity and process improvement, providing commission expense analytics by revenue stream, calculating miscellaneous commissions, preparing month end close journals and account reconciliations, supporting acquisitions and system deployments, and providing additional analysis as needed within Record to Report, North America HR/Finance and local office personnel.


  • Lead revenue stream based analytics and communicate commission expense fluctuations

  • Participate on Compensation Operations team for successful management of the My Comp Calculator application and related processes.

  • Validate commission results from My Comp Calculator; identify issues and determine solutions

  • Lead projects with focus on productivity and operational excellence.

  • Create and document standard workflow processes

  • Assist with the implementation of My Comp Calculator within other Trane Sectors, Regions and Office Acquisitions

  • Analyze, understand, and communicate journal entries, commission plans and processes assigned to this role

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills

Education Standard: Bachelors degree

Education Type: Accounting / Finance

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree accounting, finance or closely related field required with 3-5 years of experience working in a finance-related field.

  • Preferred Training: Project Management, Analytics Experience

  • High level of proficiency in MS Office products, Oracle GL, PeopleSoft and Essbase retrieves
