Job Description:

The TPC Cash & Carry Cashier is responsible for the accurate counting of incoming funds, deposits, clerical support and providing outstanding customer service. Store hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. In this position you will:

  • Assist customers at cash register in a timely manner.

  • Be available to work any of the available shifts including Saturday and Sunday.

  • Calculate customers' purchases and perform necessary transactions.

  • Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; in order to ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and purchases are made in a timely manner.

  • Help customers out to their car with their purchases.

  • Retrieve grocery carts outside to bring inside.

  • Assist with making inventory changes.

  • Calculate cash drawer and perform cashier accountability report at end of each shift.

  • Count and deposit cash on a daily basis.

  • Assist with counting items in Cash & Carry store for inventory.

  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly.

  • Use computer to check on employee accounts when they want to charge to their account.

  • Stock shelves as needed, and assist "facing" the store when necessary.

  • Help collect items for party packs during graduations and weddings.

  • Assist with meat and cheese trays on occasion.

  • Clean facilities, as required.

  • Attend meetings and complete training as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Available to work any of the available shifts including Saturday and Sunday.

• Ability to perform basic math operations.

• Ability to communicate with customers, vendors and Company personnel in a positive and proactive manner.

• Ability to solve customer problems and deal with a variety of customer service situations.

• Ability to analyze work-related situations and make decisions in an effective manner.

• Ability to learn and integrate new concepts into the performance of job duties.
