Job Summary:

Primary responsibility is Human Resources Customer Service to Geisinger Health System (GHS) employees and retirees. Responsible for the entry of information into the Human Resources Information System(HRIS) and for activities related to the support of the employee benefits and general human resources programs.

Responsible for providing excellent customer service to GHS employees and retirees including orientation and communication regarding benefits and general human resources policies and programs. Responsible for the entry of information in the Human Resources Information System using procedures that ensure accuracy and integrity of information. Responsible for the support of the GHS employee benefits program ensuring accurate and timely processing of benefit and payroll related transactions.

Reports to the Manager, HR Services.

Competencies & Skills:

Demonstrates basic working knowledge of Geisinger Health System benefits and Human Resources policies, procedures and operations.

Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate a high attention to detail.

Demonstrates high regard for confidentiality.

Demonstrates competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills.

Demonstrates intermediate computer, data entry and keyboard skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required.

Demonstrates basic public speaking and presentation skills. Demonstrates excellent customer service and telephone protocol skills.

Demonstrates basic clerical skills.

Education and/or Experience:

College degree required.

Minimum one-year customer service experience required.

Experience with an HR system such as Lawson preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Work is typically performed in an office environment.
