Duties:Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, TX.Lead engineer on the LIBOR elimination project -- a significant global effort to migrate European loans onto a new interbank lending rate. Duties include engineering, stakeholder management, and thought leadership. Analyze, enhance, and maintain the firm’s trade processing systems for Corporate Loans using JAVA, DB2 databases, SecDb (Securities Database -- proprietary technology) and React JavaScript frontend applications. Function as a senior engineer to enhance and support the loan servicing platforms, work together with team of developers to discuss architecture, workflow and support issues, lead code reviews and evolve the system along with the business’ changing needs.Engage in the software development lifecycle, including interacting with end users to elicit requirements and convert requirements into technical solutions and interacting with end users to resolve support issues. Follow and implement best practices in test-driven development using JUnit, Easy mock, Power mock, and in-memory databases. Package and deploy code using the firm’s build and release management processes. Represent the Loans Engineering team to other GS engineers as a subject matter expert.Oversight of three junior engineers in the team.Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of a proprietary technology is required pre-hire.

Job Requirements:Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include four (4) years of experience with:Software Design and Architecture including designing large scale and resilient software systems;Java including object-oriented concepts, multithreaded, virtual machine, memory usage and garbage collection and lambda expressions, method references, functional interfaces, and parallel operations;Algorithms, run-time and space complexity, data structures, design patters, object-oriented development, functional programming, multithreading and parallelization to develop software; and Relational databases, including Sybase or IBM DB2. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with:Unix or Linux platform using shell scripting, monitoring processes, and searching for and editing files; andMentoring and supervising the work of junior engineers on technical projects.
