Microsoft Corporation Principal PM Manager in Dallas, Texas

The Hybrid and SQL Server team is looking for a senior product leader to be an integral part of our customers’ business transformation using Microsoft’s Data Platform. In this role, you’ll lead a team that works with customers, partners, and the engineering team to define and deliver impactful user experiences for SQL Server. We are looking for a leader with strong product management experience and a passion for data. This leader will drive the core SQL Server engine PM team.

This position is remote-eligible within the United States and is aligned to Redmond, WA business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a regionally dispersed team, helping support and develop members to reach their full potential and execute on Microsoft objectives.

  • Work with customers, partners, and the engineering team to define and deliver impactful user experiences for SQL Server.

  • Lead and partner with Microsoft Support and Data Platform Engineering to address customer escalations.

  • Work with engineering team leaders on planning and executing the product vision.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years Program Management experience.

  • 8+ years of deep technical SQL Server engine experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as a people manager.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills to address deeply complex problems and issues.

  • Solve problems by always leading with deep passion and empathy for customers.

  • Executive presence, leadership, exceptional communication skills in influencing customers and senior executives.

  • Embrace diversity of thoughts and backgrounds and lead others to do the same.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
