You ensure deployment of Mondelēz International’s risk-based food safety management program from design to execution, including Internal Manufacturer, External Manufacturers, suppliers and trademark licensing agreements.

How you will contribute

You will support the business unit's global quality policies and capture operational feedback to help keep them up to date. You will also deploy food safety programs in your assigned area of responsibility. In addition, you will ensure that risk assessments are used as a key decision-making approach for product, process and package design safety and provide risk-based food safety verifications for suppliers, internal and external plants and warehouses. In this role, you will also support the effective management of operational food safety challenges at factories (including disposition decision making based on risk assessment and advice on risk management interactions with authorities), influence and partner with cross-functional peers, effectively communicating how food safety supports our company values, and implement a food safety culture across the organization.

  • Delivering risk-based food safety programs to drive commercial outcomes, ideally within fast moving consumer goods environment

  • Influencing food safety strategy, providing operational observations and practical input that translates into significant business benefit

  • Collaborating to complete the agenda by working effectively across functions, geographies, and with internal and external

  • Relentless curiosity and a continuous improvement mentality

  • Building an internal network that allows for effective communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement

  • Fluent in English and Spanish;

  • Strong management skills, handling complexity & judgment, good business acumen coupled with extensive technical knowledge and skills;

  • Proven ability to apply/communicate technical expertise to address business issues and develop actionable recommendations;

  • Proven understanding of business and external activities in order to foresee and assess potential business implications;

  • Knowledge of HACCP and Microbiology programs (GMP, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring, Quality Policies and Facility / Equipment Design);

  • Awareness of quality systems/processes (ISO, CODEX, etc);

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse environment which facilitate rapid decision-making in complex situations;

  • Ability to identify, develop, communicate and drive strategic vision/direction;

  • Travel requirements : 25-30% within Latin America (should we add the potential for global travel for meetings/capability building)
