We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer in Machine Learning with deep software engineering expertise, a proven record shipping machine learning features, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-growing team. You should have a strong interest in health and wellness products, if not experience contributing to them directly. Together, we will help Apple push the boundaries of artificial intelligence to make genuinely life-improving Health products for billions of customers around the world!

Key Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, or C/C++, with significant experience developing production code for a shipping product

  • Hands-on experience taking machine learning-based products through the development lifecycle from data collection and algorithm development, to model deployment and system integration, to evaluation and monitoring

  • Hands-on experience building machine learning algorithms for production software, including design of data collections and building data pipelines

  • Experience or strong personal curiosity about building consumer digital health and wellness products

  • Experience contributing to an inclusive team culture where everyone can be heard and the best ideas are the ones we pursue

In this role, you will join a team of experts working at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning to build the next generation of AI-driven health experiences. You will use innovative techniques to build deeply personal features that understand, anticipate, and adapt to users’ behaviors and uphold Apple’s deep commitment to privacy as a fundamental human right. Education & Experience

MS or PhD in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with embedded systems with limited compute and memory

  • Plus: Experience with privacy-preserving technologies for data collection

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
