Robert Half Senior Accountant in Costa Mesa, California

Robert Half is hiring candidates for an exciting entry-level Accountant opportunity, with a highly successful organization. This position's duties will include reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. Are you interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation? You might be a fit for this entry-level position! This long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position is located in Costa Mesa, California.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Making sure that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

  • Researching and rectifying account discrepancies

  • Prepare journal entries monthly

  • Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

  • Log data

  • Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned

  • Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Requirements - At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience

  • Experience with high volume data entry

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

  • Perform Ad Hoc Financial experience highly desired

  • Supervising experience

  • Knowledge of Medical Coverage

  • Comprehension of Incentive Bonus

  • Foundational knowledge in enterprise resource planning

  • Practical knowledge of Principles

  • Skills in commissions

  • Quality experience with 401k - RRSP Administration

  • Experience with Accounting Functions

  • Wide ranging experience with dental

  • Deep understanding of Benefit Functions

  • Previous experience working with Licensure

  • Earlier work involving Financial System

  • Proven knowledge of Clinical Trial Operations

  • Good understanding of General Ledger System

  • General familiarity with GAAP Accounting

  • Well-founded grasp of

  • Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

  • AA degree or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

  • High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
