Job Description

Allied Universal Security Services is currently seeking a Senior Vice President, Insurance and Risk Services in our Corporate East Office of Conshohocken, PA. The SVP will lead a team charged with identifying, measuring and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Insurance and Bond Programs - Negotiates and purchases company insurance/risk management programs. Maintains Relationships with insurance and surety markets. Determines insurance program marketing objectives and develops strategy for selection and engagement of insurance carriers, sureties, brokers, including collateral funding

  • Risk Management – counsel executive team, and senior operators on risk issues and mitigation strategies

  • Claim Management – Supervise claim management, resolve high profile claims and support team

  • Support acquisition and integration teams on insurance and risk management matters

  • Conduct training sessions on various risk/safety items

  • Development of risk/safety related resource materials

  • Handle other requests in support of Risk Management/Safety functions

  • Purchase insurance, maintain relationships with insurance industry vendors and present risk profile to potential insurers

  • Advise executive team and operators on business and transactional risk matters

  • Supervise insurance broker and claims administrator relationships

  • Oversee internal and external claim handlers responsible for efficient administration and resolution of pending and threatened claims

  • Develop safety culture and strategies to reduce workplace injuries

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management/Insurance or a related field

  • Eight years of experience overseeing a Risk Management function in major company or Insurance Placement Professional in an Insurance Brokerage Firm

  • One to Two years of exposure or familiarity with administration of corporate safety programs and initiatives

  • CPCU preferred

  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes

  • Possess high personal integrity and have the ability to instill the same in others

  • Polished written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clear direction and expectations

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks; plan, forecast, document and meet deadlines

  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Positive and upbeat in a team environment – a motivator

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • Proficient in web-based applications, computer systems and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materials

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and data
