Robert Half is searching through applicants for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment and looking for a short-term contract position at a well-established company in the Service industry. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Concord, California area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.

Responsibilities

• Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

• Execute additional tasks as needed

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

• Provide support to internal business partners

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

• Help with internal and external audits as required

• Produce full-cycle A/P

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

  Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Foundational knowledge in Invoice Approvals

• Proficiency in Account Coding

• Intacct experience
