Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm rotating weekends/holidays/on-call

We are seeking a Laboratory Technologist - The Laboratory Technologist is responsible for accurate and timely processing, testing and resulting.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Accurately processes patient specimens.

  • Coordinates couriers for transport of specimens and supplies from physician offices, hospital labs, and other clients.

  • Performs accurate and timely generation of laboratory report mailings and reports results accurately and timely according to protocol (measured- callback audit).

  • Utilizes CRM for client request/ concerns, supply requests, specimen tracking and courier assignments.

  • Assumes primary responsibility for phone communication and customer service support for the laboratory and Prepares test requisitions, supplies and collection kits.

What Are We Looking For?

To fulfill this role, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associates in medical laboratory science; or a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited institution. Prefer American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified. As of June 1, 2015: If not certified, must be eligible for certification as a Technologist by an approved agency. Certification exam must be completed within 3 years of hire date.

  • A level of knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Familiarity with personal computer and/or mainframe systems required. Skill in using database and spreadsheet software highly preferred.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs. (0-33%)

  • Sitting Constantly (67-100%)

  • Finger dexterity Constantly (67-100%)

  • Talking on the telephone and in person (67-100%)

  • Walking (67-100%)
