Robert Half HR Specialist in COLUMBUS, Ohio

Description If you love human resources and you're looking for an exciting, new opportunity, Robert Half has an excellent opportunity as a Human Resources Specialist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including assisting with sourcing new talent, posting open requisitions, recruiting, new hire orientation, updates to the employee handbook, employee relations, in addition to various other HR functions.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Prepare and update employment records for terminations, new hires, promotions, and transfers

  • Develop and provide orientation and onboarding to new employees

  • Oversee the hiring process including screening applicants' resumes, performing candidate background checks, and job postings

  • Administer benefits and open enrollment programs

  • Manage and interview candidates

  • Assist with making updates to internal policies and procedures under the general guidance of the HR leadership team Requirements - Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

  • May require a bachelor's degree in HR or a professional certification in human resources, business management, or a related field

  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR procedures and functions, including compensation and benefits, recruitment, training and development, and managing employee relations

  • Proficient in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws

  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills

  • Prior HR or recruiting experience
