Actalent Land Surveyor in Cold Spring, New York

We are hiring for a land surveyor who is comfortable working in the field - 0+ years of experience required.

MUST HAVES:

  • 1+ years of Surveying Experience working on various different sites (woodlands, lots, city streets, subway tunnels, etc.) is nice to have

  • If they have no experience surveying, they will take someone who is tech savvy who wants to learn, and have basic math skills

  • Monitoring the cleanliness and maintenance of project sites and equipment

  • Use instrument equipment in the field

  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions

JOB SPECS:

  • Transferring Field Data to Office Computer Network

  • Survey Data Processing, Reduction and Balancing

  • Monitoring cleanliness and maintenance requirements of assigned vehicle

Completion of assigned survey projects, including:

  • Property (Land & Boundary) Surveys

  • Topographic Surveys

  • Property Stakeout

  • Construction Layout (Roads, Buildings, etc.)

  • Wetlands Surveys

  • Terrestrial Lidar Surveys (Laser scanning)

  • As-built Surveys

Monitoring adjustment, cleanliness and maintenance requirements of equipment including:

  • GPS

  • Total Station

  • Terrestrial Lidar

  • Data Collector

  • Survey Tools and Equipment

Experience Level:

Entry Level
