Robert Half International Project Manager in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Description There is an immediate need for a Project Manager with a company in the Cleveland, Ohio area via Robert Half Management Resources. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in accounting functions and systems and a capability for keeping financial projects on schedule and creating successful outcomes. The Project Manager will cooperate with a team of Business Analysts in order to complete detailed requirements documentation, a responsibility that may involve data mapping to accounting systems for proper accounting and reporting of transactions. You'll need to bring a knack for cross-functional collaboration, as this role will require you to incorporate input and feedback from the accounting leadership team and from key participants in other functional areas. How you will make an impact

  • Handles project sponsor expectations and interprets business drivers. When required, negotiates changes to project scope, timing, or resources to deliver strategic solutions

  • Handles work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation

  • Communicates business requirements and business process design to development team

  • Organizes priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meet stakeholder expectations

  • Launches governance approaches for the projects to result in consistent and clear communication as well as issue resolution

  • Explains and analyzes business requirements for business users Requirements - Capable of communicating both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology professionals

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • 10+ years of prior relevant experience- Capable of working in the areas of business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development

  • Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification a plus

  • Able to rely on your discretion and act on it

  • Proven success acting in a project management capacity

  • Proficiency in accounting functions in system projects is preferred in aspiring candidates

  • The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

  • It's required that candidates have knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications

  • System conversion and implementation experience desired
