Industrial Automation & Material Handling Systems
The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, providing feedback and improvements on electrical designs for material handling equipment systems. This role provides equipment requirements along with business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solution. The Lead - Electrical Engineer participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design and equipment construction, support of designed equipment and engineering staff for programming and site startup support. Travel is expected to be less than 10% to client sites.
Prepares schematics and specifications for electoral control panels using but not limited to ACAD and ACAD Electrical software.
Determines requirements for electrical components and hardware needed for material handling equipment.
Confers with project management and controls engineers to discuss installation and proper build of designed systems.
Verify design conforms to customer standards and specifications.
Verifies design conforms to code and standard requirements
Prepare reports manually and using software used to generate schematics including but not limited to Bill of Materials, Device Tags and Terminal List.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
8 years previous professional electrical engineering experience.
Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytic, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
