Description:

• Actively partner and coordinate utility projects for the Chicagoland area

• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients

• Communicate with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Resolve issues not able to be resolved at the job-site level

• Coordinate and manage superintendents

• Implement quality control, including full compliance with plans, specifications, and contract agreements

• Attend job-site meetings, manage all onsite change orders, and process and track RFI's

• Bottom line responsibility for project cost, quality, and schedule

• Establish and update project schedule

• Conduct subcontractor pre-bid meetings

• Coordination of purchasing activities

• Maintain project budgets and manage the submittal process

• Identify and manage change orders

• Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience in a project management role in a construction environment

• Civil Engineering Degree highly preferred, Construction Management, or Architectural degree (or related course of study); completion of -Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent

• Civil construction or utility infrastructure experience is highly beneficial (ComEd experience huge plus)

• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications

• Basic estimating and scheduling skills

• Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Extremely organized with ability to prioritize a diversified workload
