Through collective community action, Rush believes we can accomplish more and achieve better outcomes together. With our medical expertise, Rush will significantly contribute comprehensive, evidence-based care that encompasses physical health and behavioral health, including mental health, counseling, and substance use disorders. We will work with community partners to provide social care through access to housing and assistance with additional human needs. Rush University will expand exposure and education for all students, integrating them into clinical, social care, economic or environmental initiatives.
As part of that initiative, we are seeking a Program Manager to join our Social Work & Community Health team.
Position Highlights :
This position has two distinct areas of responsibility: (1) managing the Center for Health and Homelessness in support of the vision, scope, and administration developed through a collaborative effort with multiple stakeholders; and (2)managing the ongoing clinical and operational functionality of the practice (operations, workflows, quality and patient experience).This position focuses on promoting inter-sectoral collaborations that bring together stakeholders from inside and outside the health care system to address equity and disparities in health outcomes. This position manages the staff, program development and delivery, and quality control and evaluation within the scope of the program. Finally, this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Acts as a thought leader in the development and implementation of strategic operational planning, programs, services, and events designed to address the changing needs of the community and stakeholders.
Identifies and builds relationships with internal and external leaders for potential partnerships, including residents, nonprofit agencies, neighborhood organizations, educational institutions, and government.
Ensures the perspectives and impact on our key partners are understood and addressed.
Establishes consistent, objective program performance standards of accountability, and implements program evaluation and reporting structures.
Identify and/or review, investigate and institute resolutions for program specific complaints and concerns.
Supports providers in the delivery of exceptional care.
Understands and supports providers' challenges and implements practices and workflow changes to alleviate them.
Manages availability of resources/supplies, and monitors patterns in purchasing supplies and ensures timely processing of payments and invoices.
Responsible for converting organizational goals into program specific goals and operationalizes goal implementation, including policy revisions.
Responsible for achievement of all compliance, regulatory, joint commission, and other regulatory body requirements.
Ensures program financial performance.
Attends meetings and events, as needed.
Manages all program staff members.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
Masters' Degree in community health, public policy, community organizing and advocacy, social work, non-profit management, or related area.
5 years of program management experience.
Supervisory or management experience.
Understands and/or has had an opportunity to work on equity issues in healthcare, social services, law, policy, or other related areas.
Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
Proficient in using technology as a management-reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems.
Strong project management skills managing complex, multi-faceted projects resulting immeasurable successes and program growth.
Strong planning and implementation skills, including problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-functional, multi-organizational teams.
Experience having worked with a high-performing, collaborative, constructive peer group.
Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting priorities.
Experience working with diverse teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
