The Chicago is seeking a n Azure Intelligent Data Platform Senior Manager to join our growing team.

Senior Managers partner with our clients to solve complex business problems and provide best in class advice and solutions. Senior Managers have a solid understanding of their client’s business and demonstrate technical competence in their solution and industry. Senior Managers can clearly articulate the value drivers of our business and are responsible for developing opportunities both at existing clients and new clients. Senior Managers are responsible for job economics and for ensuring seamless project management. Senior Managers are developing future contacts within the business community and serve as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market.

• You have expertise assessing, architecting, implementing, and migrating data solutions with the Microsoft Data Platform.

• You have s trong hands-on experience with cloud design patterns and Azure Cloud best practices—knowing when to use them, and when not to .

• You enjoy keeping up with and discussing technical and industry trends and seek opportunities to demonstrate and teach others on the job.

  Experience with a majority of the following Concepts and Methodologies :

• Proven a bility to champion the value of our Business Intelligence solutions to customers and colleagues, and proven track record of data storytelling to guide decision-making.

• Experience in formulat ing , communicat ing , and execut ing data strateg ies that align with organizational goals and objectives .

• Expertise in assessing existing data solutions, whether on-premises or in the cloud, to inform improvement initiatives .

• Demonstrated skills in architecting future state data solutions on Azure based on the Well-Architected framework .

• Experience in planning and migrating data solutions from various sources, including on-premises, other cloud platforms, or legacy systems , to Azure.

• Extensive hands-on experience implementing ETL processes and databases on Azure.

• Track record of optimizing existing data implementations, including pipelines, queries, and data models, to enhance performance and delivery of value to the business .

• Expertise in administering and maintaining data solutions to ensure stability, security, and affordability.

• Proficiency in data engineering , including data movement, data integration, transformation, and cleansing.

• Capability to design and manage data warehousing solutions that optimize data storage and retrieval.

• Strong skills in data modeling , including entity-relationship diagrams , dimensional modeling , and semantic modeling .

• Track record of creating engaging data visualizations and interactive dashboards.

• Proven ability to perform data analytics , including exploratory data analysis and leveraging data for actionable insights .

• Established expertise in implementing data governance frameworks and policies, including an understanding of managing data assets .

• Proficiency in data security practices, including encryption and access control .

• Understanding of DevOps or DataOps concepts and experience with the deployment of Azure data solutions .

• Expertise in SQL and familiarity with 1 or more programming languages utilized within the Microsoft Data Platform stack, such as Python, C# , Java, Scala, R, DAX, MDX, or M .

• Advanced certification is preferred (see Recommended Qualifications) .

• Bonus: Implementation experience with Data Science and/or Machine Learning .

  Experience with these technologies in the Azure Stack and expertise in at least 3:

• Azure Storage

• Azure Synapse Pipelines or Azure Data Factory

• Azure Synapse Analytics or SQL Server Administration and Querying

• Azure Databricks

• Power Bi

• Azure Purview

• Git-based version control and deployments for Azure Data Solutions

• Microsoft Fabric

• Bonus: Azure AI tooling

  Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 8+ years in a related field; preferably in professional services and/or industry

  Recommended Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

• Exam AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
