As far as technical software skills, the Leads should be • familiar/comfortable with databases (especially MS SQL) and web services • understand the concept of Single Sign-On (via things like like SAML, AD, Okta, etc) • well-versed in SDLC concepts and practices like defining and running test cases, promoting from dev to qa to UAT to prod, using a code repository with branches • able to think through developing scale-able software (at least know the right questions to ask customer like "how many concurrent users to you expect at peak?" "how many records do you expect to process each 24 hours." "What response time do you expect when user submits file with 100 records?") • good at troubleshooting and diagnosing problems • know how to report bugs/issue to a development team of grumpy coders (including important info in the bug report like "steps to reproduce, expected behavior, version of software bug was found) • able to research and resolve your own issues • able to ask for help when you are stuck for too long

Some of the business qualities would be: • Ability to prioritize features • Time management skills • Ability to interpret business requirements into a technical designs/specs • Experience with agile development is a plus, but not necessarily required • Ability to motivate and lead the project devs. The job is more than tasking out your developers. Keeping them involved and invested in learning the business process and the technical design will keep the project in a good state.

Quality Assurance Team Lead Decisions is an enterprise workflow and rules technology that provides an extensible, graphically configured platform which enables companies to drastically reduce time to market for their applications. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing the testing strategy, processes and resources for the Decisions platform. This role works closely with system architects, developers and professional services analysts to identify core issues and prioritize fixes for releases in a tight schedule. The QA manager offers solutions to streamline internal process and works to continuously improve the quality of the product through automated and manual testing efforts. The successful candidate will combine technical and effective communication skills to drive quality in the product throughout the organization. Responsibilities: - Manages a team of onshore and offshore testing resources that perform both automated and manual tests. - Identifies and implements strategies to test the platform effectively in tight timelines across multiple platform versions. - Facilitates communication between leadership, developers, testers and professional services regarding platform issues. - Creates reports and tracking for release readiness and testing results for leadership.- Understands the technical intricacies of enterprise integrations and communicates plans and solutions for testing these scenarios effectively. - Provides feedback to testing resources on work performed. - Provides examples and training for testing resources on platform features. - Anticipates problems and provides recommendations for solutions. - Performs testing and other work as assigned. Requirements: - Bachelor of Science degree, or four to six years of software related experience. - Understanding of databases, enterprise systems, and web applications. - Understanding of software industry best practices in Software Quality Assurance as well as the Software Development Life Cycle using Agile and other lean methodologies. - Experience as a manager or supervisor in a software development environment. - .net, HTML and other programming skills highly desired.- Ability to analyze information from disparate sources in order to produce plans. - Has the flexibility to meet changing organizational focus and needs in a fast paced environment.- Desire for excellence in user experience and for producing quality software for end users. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to an on and off-shore audience. - Enjoys being a software detective
