You will serve as a Operations Research Analyst in the Workload Planning Branch (188.8.131.52), Production Activity Control Division (6.3.2), of the Industrial Operations Management Department (6.3) of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Conditions of Employment
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing duties such as : 1) Using advanced mathematical and analytical methods to help organizations investigate, identify, and solve complex issues in support of FRC East workload, 2) using statistics, computer programming, operations research and data visualization to analyze, quantify, and project product, process, and cost performance in varying areas of aviation maintenance operations, 3) developing plans, programs, methods, procedures, and techniques for collecting, processing, compiling, analyzing and presenting data to assure understanding by recipients, and 4) conveying the results of the analysis and impacts of various courses of action and proposed solutions via memos, position papers, reports, and other documents to managers, or other officials. Qualifying Education: Ability to use a wide range of methods, such as forecasting, data mining, and statistical analysis, to examine and interpret data. Sufficient knowledge of applied mathematics to understand and use the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research methods of analysis. Basic understanding of computer programming languages and applicable operations systems. Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques and procedures. I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education.
