Molding Machine Operator

Randstad is currently assisting our client in Chelmsford, MA with their 1st shift SENIOR MOLD MAKER! This is DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!!

Job duties include but not limited to:

-Manage and Train shop personnel on new proven machining and mold making techniques

-Operate and train personnel on how to safely use Machine Shop Equipment & Gages

-Use of Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Saws, Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators

-Read and understand blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions

Pay: $20-$39.95/hr

Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities:

-Manage and Train shop personnel on new proven machining and mold making techniques

-Operate and train personnel on how to safely use Machine Shop Equipment & Gages

-Ability visualize and determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate or repair components for molds and other tooling as needed

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:

-Math Skills: Basic, Algebra & Trigonometry

-Blue prints, sketches, models and descriptions

-Knowledge in Machining practices : Manual, conversational programming, G-Codes

-Advanced measuring techniques and instruments

-Assure compliance to all company related procedures/policies

-Maintain all tooling as needed

-Maintain and help develop process and systems for the efficient use of machines, and materials

-Provide technical assistance to molding department and maintenance as needed

Education:

High School

Experience:

Experienced

Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years experience in plastic injection mold building and/or machine tools

Ability to read and interpret blue prints

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Ability to make sound, practical decisions regarding mold repair and design

Ability to make correct decisions on technical problems involving molding/tooling problems
