The candidate will support the Process & Risk Management team in mitigating risk across the Global Banking & Markets Anti-Money Laundering (GBAM AML) organization and program. Provide supports for monthly control execution within a LOB/ECF and directly supports execution and management of the QA Program through various initiatives to drive process improvements and control performance sustainability. This role requires a strong operational risk and compliance background, Risk Framework (QA Standard) knowledge, and understanding of AML requirements. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of quality assurance or LOB/ECF experience.

Additional Job Description:

The position is within Global Banking and Markets Anti-Money Laundering (GBAM AML) organization. The candidate will support the GBAM AML Monitoring and Inspection function for control oversight and execution. This role works closely with the Monitoring and Inspection execution and design teams, as well as the process teams within the financial crimes compliance program to implement robust controls and process enhancements as identified through inspection results. Responsibilities may include:

  • Test development for GBAM AML controls.

  • Gathering test script and data requirements, working with process design and data partners to ensure appropriate sampling requirements are incorporated in to the Test Plans, developing the approach for providing samples for tests, and resolution of any issues encountered in executing scripts.

  • Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity and resourcefulness.

  • Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with procurement of data to be used for testing.

  • Partner with Process Design and interact with Process Owners to facilitate test design.

  • Maintain SOR (System of Record) set-up and administration of test status

  • Provide training to the test execution team on test process including changes and enhancements to the test plan and the test script.

  • Evaluate if pilot testing is required and participate in testing as needed.

  • Incorporate automation during test development using effective and efficient technologies, where possible

Required Skill and Experience:

  • Ability to organize data for executive level reporting

  • 2+ years’ experience with an internal audit, testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front line control role

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel to perform data analytics, pivot tables, lookups and external data source connections

  • Demonstrated project management skills; Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, organized, versatile, capable of performing work independently with minimal direction

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Enterprise Control functions and related compliance efforts

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • Risk management, Compliance and/or Audit experience

  • Compliance or Risk certification a plus

  • Diverse experience across multiple business functions

  • Strong familiarity with sampling business requirements and test design
