Job Type: Full-Time Shift/Schedule: Full-time during regular business hours, occasional evenings and weekends Location: Arapahoe County, Colorado

Position Summary: As a certified Parents as Teachers (PAT) Parent Educator you'll use PAT's evidence-based home visiting model to promote optimal health, learning, and development of children by engaging and supporting parents and ca Utilizing PAT's Foundational Curriculum in culturally sensitive ways, you'll partner with families to build goals, reflect, and make progress on parent-child interactions, development-centered parenting, and family well-being to help families and children reach their full potential. Collaborating with your colleague team and community partners, you'll connect children and families to resources that help address barriers and improve well-being.

Basic Qualifications: Two-year degree/60 college hours in early childhood, social work, health, psychology, or related field Minimum two years supervised work experience with young children and/or parents Strong communication and interpersonal skills (nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient) Strong organizational and record keeping skills Ability to work independently and be self-motivated Ability to establish rapport with families and empower them by building on their strengths Computer skills (word processing, email, electronic databases and platforms) Successful completion of Parents as Teachers Foundational and Model Implementation Trainings (ACECC will pay for hired employee's PAT Foundational certification and time spent in training) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor or four-year degree in early childhood education, social work, health, psychology, or a related field Previous PAT home visiting experience Essential Functions: Conduct personal home visits with families (includes planning, facilitation, and documentation) Partner with families to develop, monitor, and achieve goals Promote healthy social connections by engaging with families at monthly PAT Group Connections Complete necessary assessments and screenings at regular intervals to monitor child development and progress Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to coordinate the delivery of family materials/resources that address unique needs and improve well-being Connect families to childcare options and help families navigate the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program Utilize and help maintain ACECC's Child Care Connect webtool to ensure accuracy and ease for family and childcare provider users Participate in monthly reflective supervision and staff meetings Obtain competency-based professional development and renew PAT Parent Educator Certification annually
