Thompson Health VACCINE NURSE: RN - PER DIEM - DAYS in Canandaigua, New York

Description

Main Function: : F.F. Thompson Hospital is hosting many COVID-19 vaccination clinics. The Vaccine Nurse will administers the COVID-19 vaccinations at the community clinics that are held at Thompson Hospital. Educates patients on the vaccine and monitors for side effects as applicable. Addresses adverse reactions using applicable nursing skills. If Vaccine Nurse is an RN, he/she also oversees the provision of care by LPNs acting in the Vaccine Nurse role. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Required: current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Current Infection Control Certificate is required.

  • Professionally mature individual who demonstrates leadership qualities demanded in a rapidly changing health care environment.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Education:

  • A graduate of an approved school of nursing required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years recent nursing experience required.
