Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care. Actively participates as a team member in the systems, functions, and activities of the unit/department

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school education

  • Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program

  • Current Certified Nurse Assistant certification (CT NA)

  • CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months recent hospital experience as a CNA

Special Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and writing; clearly, concisely, and accurately

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to operate common office equipment including computers

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures
