RedHat Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead in California
Job summary
The Red Hat Sales Emerging Technologies team is looking for an Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead to join us. In this role, you will work closely with the Red Hat’s North America (NA) Commercial Solutions Architects, regional sales managers across NA, product owners, our Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team, consulting practice leads, the Field Enablement team, and other teams to achieve our objectives. You will serve as the central point of contact to coordinate activities between these teams and solutions architects in the field. As an Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead, you will coordinate the development of programs to enable solutions architects with enterprise architecture (EA) and business value skills. You will also respond to requests for engagement to develop and deliver ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, as well as business value presentations to customers. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Work with regional Solutions Architecture leadership, enablement teams, and Sales management to set standards of solutions architecture capabilities for EA and business value
Develop calculators and other tools to enable field teams to develop their own ROI and TCO analyses
Collaborate with the enablement, product, and Services teams to develop and carry out training programs, workshops, presentations of our offerings, and other sales-related materials
Maintain a community of solutions architecture practitioners; establish regular video conference meetings with regional solutions architects and other relevant members to ensure cross-regional collaboration and information sharing
Contribute to EA and business value subject matter expert teams
Maintain an internal document library of content to provide a centralized hub for field associates, including links and link-backs to other teams' content
Help with organizing solutions architecture-specific events
Required skills
7+ years of experience working as a sales engineer or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts, or in a strategic customer-facing role, or as an enterprise architect
Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals; experience developing and building models based on The Enterprise Framework and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification are a plus
5+ years of experience working with public and private cloud infrastructure, e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); any relevant certification is a plus
Experience working with technologies and solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Microsoft Azure, GKE, Anthos, Rancher, and VMware Tanzu
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to derive actionable insights from large amounts of information and clearly communicate complex ideas to customer senior executives while handling questions and objections
Experience with quantitative analysis, ROI, TCO, and financial modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable giving presentations and speaking in front of an audience
Willingness to travel around 50% following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines
Experience working in account strategy support and with the development and delivery of value hypotheses, business cases, and commercial proposals is a plus
