Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented AV Technician to join our team in California, MD.

We are currently searching for Audio Video (AV) install technician that will provide ongoing technical and operational support of audio visual equipment and systems, as well as service and maintenance of those systems. Responsibilities include set up, installation, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment, as well as configuring various electronic products while ensuring their optimal performance.

Job Functions

  • Install projectors, projection screens, and flat panel displays

  • Install speakers, microphones, video conferencing cameras, and other audio video system components

  • Install control touch screens

  • Pull, terminate, and test all AV cable types, connectors, and interfaces

  • Build, install, and wire AV racks

  • Design custom fabricated solutions for unique scenarios

  • Must have proven skill level or the ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements

  • Ad-hoc design changes and impromptu system modifications

  • Ability to keep records, files, checklists, performance records, and prepare reports analyzing and summarizing information

  • Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s)


· At least 3 - 5 years hands-on experience in the installation, setup and testing of complex AV systems including verifiable experience performing the job functions listed above.


  • Experience in installation, service, testing, troubleshooting or programming of numerous Audio Visual Systems including: Crestron, Extron, Smartboards, Biamp, DSP, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of AV technologies and environments including projection displays, video teleconferencing, complex audio systems, control systems, and switching systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, and Visio

  • Professional with strong organizational, communications and problem solving skills

  • Remain current with industry technology

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
