Sutter Health Nurse Assistant (Stepdown ICU) - Burlingame (Full Time) in Burlingame, California

Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, this position performs routine patient care, service and support functions as part of a customer-focused, service-oriented team that incorporates the values of Mills-Peninsula Health Services in a confidential environment. Principal accountabilities include:

  • Provides safe, appropriate patient care and activities of daily living (hygiene, dietary and mobility assistance) to assigned patients.

  • Participates in hourly comfort rounds with a focus on toileting, comfort, position, pain and room tidiness

  • Provides set-up, service and delivery functions associated with meals and between meal nourishment. Assists with feeding patients as directed.

  • Documents vital signs, weights, pain score, intake and output, restraint utilization, ADL activities and admission forms (belongings and room orientation portions).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent/relevant training or work experience

  • Current California CNA license and BLS (AHA) certification.

  • Previous working experience in specialized area such in acute nursing units preferred.
