Sutter Health Nurse Assistant (Stepdown ICU) - Burlingame (Full Time) in Burlingame, California
Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, this position performs routine patient care, service and support functions as part of a customer-focused, service-oriented team that incorporates the values of Mills-Peninsula Health Services in a confidential environment. Principal accountabilities include:
Provides safe, appropriate patient care and activities of daily living (hygiene, dietary and mobility assistance) to assigned patients.
Participates in hourly comfort rounds with a focus on toileting, comfort, position, pain and room tidiness
Provides set-up, service and delivery functions associated with meals and between meal nourishment. Assists with feeding patients as directed.
Documents vital signs, weights, pain score, intake and output, restraint utilization, ADL activities and admission forms (belongings and room orientation portions).
High school diploma or equivalent/relevant training or work experience
Current California CNA license and BLS (AHA) certification.
Previous working experience in specialized area such in acute nursing units preferred.
