Senior Technical Writer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced hands-on Senior Technical Writer to join our team in Bucharest and help with our technical documentation efforts in security and our connectivity management platform.

Responsibilities:
Create and update technical documentation ensuring high productivity and delivering high-quality content.
Collaborate with product managers, product marketing, and engineers to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including User Guides, Integration Guides, API Developer Guides, Knowledge Base Articles, Release Notes, Online Help,
Oversee the lifecycle of technical documentation, including planning, drafting, editing, reviewing, and publishing.
Edit user interface messages and text for consistency and clarity throughout the documentation.
Gather customer feedback on documentation to enhance usability and meet end-user needs.
Ensure consistency in documentation style, formatting, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Follow the style of existing templates for written documentation produced by others, ensuring a consistent look and feel.
Effectively deliver assignments and workloads on time.
Maintain a hands-on approach to the product, using and testing it as needed to produce accurate and user-focused content.
Adapt rapidly to changes in the industry, adjusting responsibilities, time, and objectives accordingly.
Identify and contribute to the improvement of problem areas or structural deficiencies in the documentation process.
Develop expertise in the Content Management System platform and its various tools for content-related tasks.
Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and generative AI.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience working as a Technical Writer or in a related role.
Hybrid presence in the office (2 days per week).
Proven experience in writing and delivering technical documentation, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and tools.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and clear documentation.
Proficiency in common technical writing tools such as Oxygen, MadCap Flare, or other DITA/XML-based authoring tools,
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for managing documentation revisions.
Knowledge of content management systems and their role in maintaining and publishing technical documentation.
Experience with generative AI technology and its application in the technical writing process.
Ability to adapt rapidly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach to finding solutions.
Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.
Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, GIT) and Zendesk is an advantage.
Experience with source control systems, such as Bitbucket, is desired.
Understanding of programming code and the ability to comprehend and effectively document APIs is desired.
Experience in the telecommunications software industry is a plus.
Previous experience working with translation handoffs and publishing translated content is desired.
